Do I have to pay my fees before I can enrol?

Yes. You cannot enrol until you are a paid up member.

How do I pay?

You can pay with a credit card using PayPal from the Membership Invoice or you can use a bank direct transfer “Pay Anyone”.

What if I don’t want to pay using PayPal or internet transfer?

You can also pay by credit card, cheque or cash at the U3A Mornington Office.

What if I don’t pay?

You will be notified by email one week after joining/re-enrolling that your membership fee is unpaid. If after another week the amount is still outstanding the Courses will be removed and you will be made an Inactive Member.

How are the classes run?

Tutors and the Course Coordinator are Members who give their time voluntarily. Most Courses are run during the day and take place at Currawong Community Centre.

How many classes can I enrol in?

You can enrol for an unlimited number of classes. When enrolments first open each year, to ensure that everyone has a chance to enrol in something, there is a limit of 3 classes per member for a few days. Then you may enrol for as many as you like.

How will I know if I have been accepted to the class?

You will know immediately that you enrol and will receive a confirming email.

What happens if the class that I want to enrol in is full?

You will be placed on a waitlist and notified when a place becomes available. If you enrolled on-line, you will be notified by email. If you did assisted on-line enrolment you will be notified by phone.

Why are some classes fully booked?

We publish all classes that are offered irrespective of whether they are full or not. You may choose to be on a Waitlist and may be offered a place if a vacancy occurs. Allocation is on a strictly “first come first served” basis.

Am I still on the Waitlist for a class?

Login to the Membership system and select View My Details.

When does my class start?

If I only wish to enrol for one class and I am waitlisted can I withdraw and get a refund if it becomes obvious that I will not get into the class?

We offer over 200 courses and we hope that you will find something that interests you.

However, should you be unable to enrol in a class, your membership fee will be refunded.

Why can’t I enrol for two classes of the same language such as Italian 1 and Italian 2?

Our language classes are very popular and to ensure everyone has a chance at a class we restrict you to only one class in each language. But, if you wish you could enrol for Italian 1 and Spanish 1.

If I need to withdraw from all classes can I get a refund?

Generally no if the classes have already started.

Can I apply for additional classes during the year?

Yes. You can apply for any classes that have vacancies, or be waitlisted for others. In addition, new classes will be offered during the year so keep an eye on our Newsletter, Website and Facebook Page.

How can I be removed from a class?

When will I get my Badge?

Badges are distributed during the first two weeks of February.
